1. The articles published in Journal of Applied Economic Research may be subject to a retraction procedure (withdrawal from press). Retraction is carried out to notify the readership about the publication of incorrect information and to remove such publications from scientific circulation.
2. Retraction is used in cases where an already published article: (1) contains plagiarism or self-plagiarism; (2) is a duplicate publication; (3) contains serious errors or falsified data that cast doubt on the validity of scientific results; (4) contains materials whose content contradicts the legislation of the Russian Federation.
3. Retraction is carried out regardless of whether the author(s)’ actions that led to the publication of incorrect information were intentional or unintentional.
4. Retraction may be carried out at the request of the author(s), by the decision of the Editorial Board, or due to official requests from various authorities (other journals, scientific organizations, etc).
5. Retraction is carried out following a thorough inspection of the circumstances that led to the publication of incorrect information. The Editors notify the author(s) about the violation of publication ethics and the launch of the retraction procedure. The author(s) are allowed to express their agreement or disagreement with the Editors. In cases where the fact of violation of publication ethics (plagiarism, self-plagiarism, falsification of data, violation of the law, etc.) has been confirmed, the Editors have the right to carry out a retraction procedure without the consent of the author(s).
6. On the basis of inspection carried out to check the circumstances that led to the retraction, the Editorial Board has the right to veto the publication of articles by the author(s) for a certain period.
7. The publication that has undergone retraction remains on the Journal's website as part of the PDF version of the corresponding Journal issue. In this case, a note “RETRACTED” is inserted in the article metadata. An identical mark is placed in the table of contents of the corresponding Journal issue, as well as in the databases in which the Journal is indexed.
8. The full information about the conducted retraction procedure is placed on the Journal’s website as part of the article metadata.
