Research of the Higher School Integration into the Global Innovation Space: the Nonlinear Approach
Voeykova О.B.
Abstract
The problem of integration of the higher school into the world innovation space as a subject of global innovation relations is a new scientific problem that has arisen because of changes in higher education against the background of its full innovation and globalization. The need to solve this problem increases the relevance of the theoretical understanding of trends, contradictions and threats that accompany such integration, as well as the search for new tools for research and management of this process. The aim of the work presented in the article is to substantiate the need for the use of a nonlinear approach to the study of integration of higher school into the world innovation space, taking into account the complexity of the problem under consideration. The nonlinear approach based on the principles of the theory of system’s self-organization and the evolutionary economics theory will unite the stationary and dynamic components of this process. It will enable one to reveal the whole set of changes (both spatial and temporal ones in the coordinate system "space-time"), accompanying the modification of the higher school, integrated into the global innovation space, as in a higher-order system. The result of the work was the justification of the nonlinear approach as a new methodological tool for studying the integration of higher school into the world innovation space, which allows taking into account the parameters of nonlinearity openness of higher education institutions, import-export of information flows, instability under the influence of external-internal factors and others. It has been substantiated that the integration of higher education in the world innovation space is a dynamic process in which, under the influence of these external factors, it enters a bifurcation point that involves the replacement of an outdated traditional model, by transforming it into a new model of an innovative type.
