Abstract
Presently, it has become evident that the tasks of economic development and environmental protection are interconnected. One of the topics debated hotly by Russian scientists and politicians in the past years was the formation and promotion of a «green» economy in the regions of Russia, transition to which is impossible without attention to innovations. In particular, achievement of ecologically sustainable development of the country requires renovation of material and technical resources of business entities via the implementation of new technologies facilitating a simultaneous increase in economic productivity and the ecologization of production. This paper analyzes modern trends of the influence of labour productivity as one of the main indicators of production efficiency on the ecological parameters in the Russian Federation. This study is aimed at addressing the problem of increasing labor productivity via an enhanced resource-saving factor of production. The aim of this article is to provide arguments in favor of the need for simultaneous solution of the tasks of increasing labor productivity and domestic economy ecologization, as well as to propose recommendations for a combined solution of these tasks. The present study employs theoretical and calculation-analytical methods of research, statistical and comparative analysis. The results of the study show that the increase in labor productivity at the modern stage facilitates a negative influence on the environment, which prohibits ecologically sustainable development of the country and, thus, its transition to the «green» economy. We highlight some technological opportunities for the increase in labor productivity linked to the activization of eco-innovation activity by businesses. It is argued that modern «green» technologies should become the priority in the economy modernization and innovation development of the Russian Federation. We define some problems and prospects for ecologically-clean technologies implementation of domestic enterprises which are relevant to the increase in labor productivity without an enhanced negative influence on the environment. The main statements and conclusions from this article appear to be valuable for administrative bodies and programs for strategic state tasks solution, including transition of regions of the country to the «green» economy, as well as to the academic and business communities.
