Abstract
The purpose of this study is to systematize and reveal the essence of sociotechnological (hybrid) drivers of the development of a modern digital economy. It is shown that the essence of the digital economy is the use of advanced digital technologies and modern socio-economic models of behavior for doing business. It is shown that modern digital technologies ensure the harmonious development of the socio-economic environment. On the one hand, digitalization processes are widely used in the creation of modern technological innovations; on the other hand they create conditions for the transformation of socio-economic relations. They are a condition for creating social innovations, and form the prerequisites for the transition to a digital society. Thus, digitalization processes are a kind of a hybrid driver (combining both technologies and socio-economic behavior patterns created on their basis) of social development. The following socio-technical (hybrid) drivers for the development of the digital economy are highlighted: big data, cloud technologies, digital platforms, Internet of things, smart city concept, sharing economy, blockchain technology. The definitions of these hybrid drivers for the development of the digital economy are given. The essence of these areas of development, consisting in the use of advanced digital technologies for the most effective organization of economic activity is described. It is shown that hybrid drivers of the development of the digital economy are embedded sets, each of which includes other technologies and behavioral models. The different pace of the evolution of different areas of the digital economy are noted. The novelty of the results lies in the formation of a hierarchical system of sociotechnological drivers of the development of the digital economy. The theoretical significance of the study is to systematize the essence of the drivers of the development of the digital economy. The practical significance of the study lies in the formation of possible future studies of rational economic management in the conditions of digital society.
